That crww guy with his fancy dates and everything is completely clueless. This was a great movie, produced by a courageous director. Ok so the river isn't frozen in April, So what? Okay so the play that was supposed to incite the mob was premiered a decade before the mob. News travelled more slowly in those days. Mobs took longer to get mobbing. What I liked about the movie was Derek Jacobi, who was educated at the local high school outside of London, criticising this Bill Shakespeare guy for heading to London with only a grammar school education. That takes real guts. I mean high school vs grammar school, let's think about that. I also like the fearless way the writer knitted together all the tired hackeyed nonsense written about this Bill guy over the past 100 years and made it into a plot to hang this costume drama on. Oh yes and Queen Elizabeth humping her grandson was just the sort of thing she would have done. I mean she was Queen right?

This is a tired old premise that has been debunked over and over again. It raises its old head to appeal to the ignorant and illiterate (hmmm).. not to mention make a few dollars.
