Michael Lynch (Kevin Spacey) is Dublin's most notorious criminal, his brazen robberies making him the bane of the Irish Guard and a hero to his fellow working class Northsiders. When not playing happy families with his children and two wives -- sisters Christine (Linda Fiorentino) and Lisa (Helen Baxendale) -- Lynch is busy plotting elaborate heists, which are as much about the showmanship as the loot involved. On his case is Office Noel Quigley (Stephen Dillane), the only man smart enough to give Lynch a run for his money.
