Jane Goodale (Ashley Judd) is a producer of a popular TV show. She is in a hot romance with the show's dashing executive producer Ray (Greg Kinnear) -- until Ray unexpectedly dumps her. Jane begins an extensive study of male behavior to understand why her latest relationship went awry. Her research leads her to become an overnight sensation for single women when she discovers answers in the ways animals relate to each other.
