Less than two weeks before election day, a sexual scandal erupts that threatens to cripple the President's bid for a second term. Before the incident can cause irreparable damage, ultimate spin doctor Robert DeNiro is called to the White House. He enlists the services of Hollywood producer Dustin Hoffman to deflect attention from the scandal by creating a war. Directed by Barry Levinson and co-written by David Mamet, "Wag the Dog" is a timely, knowing satire that hits close to home as it examines the blurred lines between politics, the media and show business.
