Insidious

Pretty good scare fare. Lots of suspense, things that go bump in the night, and tingling anticipation of scary things to come. Eventually you will see some scary things that are certainly acceptable in terms of non-cheese factor, but the story itself is not original enough to allow the movie into any 'great horror' classic category. The movie is part Paranormal Activity, which I found better for the same type of scares, and part Poltegeist, which was more spectacular to look at back in the day. Part of this movie's problems are that it's too comparable to those others without offering anything more of substance. Still as it's hard to find good horror, this is among the better scary films I've ever seen, but that is somewhat dubious praise.
