Great war drama from the mid-forties with Claudette Colbert in an Oscar nominated performance along with Jennifer Jones as a Supporting Actress nominee. David Selznick's film directed by John Cromwell does a lot of justice to the women of the era. A refreshing bit is seeing a grown up Shirley Temple holding her own with all the great actors in the cast.
