Well it seems Bill Murray has become our grand-dad right before our very eyes. He looks a lot older than 64. Nonetheless he has another great role in ST. VINCENT. Bill plays a man not many are fond of, he's kind of this old geezer who just puts in time before he calls it a day. We all know this kind of man in our own neighbourhood. THEN 2 women come into his life, a Russian (Watts) and a mother plus son (Melissa McCarthy.) Bill does his grumpy old man 'stick' pretty convincingly but it is Jaeden Lieberher as Maggie's son who really steals the show with probably the best child performance of the year. I'm not a Bill Murray fan, but I did enjoy St. Vincent. It gave me a few good chuckles as we walk in the boy's shoes as he tags along with his old goat of a neighbour. I think the film delivers a very sweet positive message. Despite some off-colour language with a dose of the sexual, I think St. Vincent is quite suitable viewing for a family with young teens. After all, the young uns' have heard it all and certainly know it all.
