22 Jump Street

I was extremely excited to see 22 Jump Street. Back in 2012, 21 Jump Street surprised everybody and ended up being a hilarious comedy with a big heart! My expectations for the sequel were sky-high. Well, I'm very happy to say that 22 Jump Street, though not perfect, basically improves on its predecessor in every way and is one of the funniest comedies of the year. The story revolves around Schmidt and Jenko basically doing the exact same thing as the first movie in college. The chemistry between Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum may be the best chemistry between buddy-cops that I've ever seen. They bounce off each other so well and their jokes together mostly hit. Speaking of jokes, this movie was incredibly funny. Though there were a few missed jokes and some jokes that were just taken too far, there are many moments of legendary comedy gold! Phil Lord and Chris Miller keep up their movie winning streak with yet another hilarious comedy added to their filmography (they did 21 Jump Street and The Lego Movie) The real star here is Ice Cube. He has some scenes that are so funny that I almost pissed myself laughing. The only downside to this movie is that around half way through, the jokes come to a halt for about fifteen minutes. It was a little odd that the constant humour just paused for a little while. Overall, 22 Jump Street is better than its predecessor and is extremely funny! See it with your friends immediately!
