When you see a Stephen King movie you expect something scary. Period. The genre is defined as horror. Something along the lones of classics like " Misery"," Pet Sematary"," It"," The Shining"," Carrie",... Even his works of pure fiction like " The Green Mile" and "The Shawshank Redemption" have been pretty well received. Here what we have is really neither. Just a simple old tale of a murderous husband who is quite frankly not scary and a manic wife. I didn't buy into their marriage, there was no horror (no one actually gets shot) and there was no big suspense or mystery. I fail to see why this was turned into a movie by dulling all the elements one comes to expect from adaptations of a legendary writer.
