A refreshing light hearted comedy in sea of lousy post-oscar movies. The actors in this film are freed of any dramatic pretense and deliver a fine comedic performance backed up by an inspiring story of soccer, family, ethnicity, coming of age and girl power. A comedy as bracing and furiously right for the moment as it is broad and huggable. Suprisingly winning, in both content and style. Occasionaly a film comes along that isn't great but still rates a look-see because it taps into the zeitgeist. The cheesiest part may be the so called "cameo" of Beckham and Posh, you really only see the backs of their heads who cares anyways. Hopefully the couple didn't get paid for the use of their name in the Title.
