District 9

This is a toughie to review. The first part was heart breaking and often had to close my eyes due to the graphic nature. I can't stomach seeing gore like that. The one word that comes to mind for this movie is "Sad". Sad how our human race is so decrepit and cruel. Sad that this could easily happen and we think we are so much better then others whether it be alien or human. Sad that we are so money hungry and driven to such evil hatred depths that we are capable of such cruelness."We" obviously takes in a wide range of people and all you need do is read the headlines of any paper. Thank God for good people and hidden angels to even this planet out. The story line was difficult to get into from the beginning but it picked up and made for a good movie after all. It was a last choice to go see and didn't think I would see it at all but actually glad I made the choice to go.
