    Fury

I was really excited to see 'Fury'. I really like war films and I found the concept of the story following a tank and its crew very unique and interesting. I also like David Ayer as a director. Though he directed the awful 'Sabotage', he easily made up for that with 'End of Watch'. Well, I'm happy to say that 'Fury' is an awesome and hard-hitting war film! The story follows a tank and its crew as it fights against Nazis in Germany during World War II. I feel like now should be the time to get into my biggest flaw with the film. As you just read, there isn't much of a story. Yes, this movie is very entertaining, and no, I never got bored, but I felt like more of an actual story would have helped the film be more gripping and interesting. The acting is absolutely fantastic. Brad Pitt gives yet another amazing performance as his badass character. His character was sort of like a less extreme and funny version of his character from Inglorious Bastards. The entire supporting cast are also great, especially Logan Lerman and Shia Laboeuf. That's right, I just said Shia Laboeuf was great. Though I'm not a huge fan of him in real life, he gave a great performance! The action sequences are absolutely astonishing. There were so well made and had me on the edge of my seat every time. Especially during the final fight, with was breathtaking. The cinematography was great, the musical score worked very well and the sound editing was some of the best of the year. David Ayer's direction was actually pretty superb, with some brilliant tracking shots.'Fury' is also very well written and has very believable dialogue between the soldiers. The comrades seem like real friends and brothers, even with their difficulties. Though there are a few questionable scenes that didn't really need to be there, this film really uses its long runtime to its advantage. Overall, Fury is an extremely entertaining and hard-hitting war flick with little story, but great acting. See it if you like the war genre.
