To really enjoy this movie, you would have certainly watched Parts I thru V. It would help you appreciate this movie that much more if the last Rocky film you watched was Part V. I would have liked to have seen a more worthy opponent other than the actor cast as Dixon. I guess in order to make Rocky look better, the other guy had to look mediocre. Regardless of my issues with the cast... this is a fitting end to a very good franchise. Part iii and Part IV were my favourites but Part I set it all up so perfectly. Part V was the only major let down of the entire Rocky Franchise. I was happy to see that the Franchise has come full circle and leaves Rocky with his pride intact. Not a bad movie at all. Definitely worth seeing if you're a Rocky fan.

It's funny you call Antonio Tarver (Dixon) mediocre in boxing as he was the light heavy weight champion of the world.
