I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews here but maybe that's because I'm not a true Trekkie. I loved "The Next Generation" series, and it's the only one I followed. The movie wasn't flawless by any means but it was packed with action and superb special effects. Picard and Data were always my favourite characters so I didn't mind the focus being on them. However, I did not realize this is to be the final film for this series. If that's true, I can understand why some would be upset that the other characters - perhaps with the exception of Riker and Troi - were sorely underused. And why didn't Wil Wheaton have any lines? Even for a cameo appearance, that was pretty useless. But I did enjoy the story, the interplay between Picard and his nemesis and the superb battle sequences.
