The Fast and the Furious

For those of you that put no faith in the comments of car fanatics or 13-17 year old children, I am far from being either of these. But this movie lives up to its title. Fast, furious, well-scripted, nail-biting action scenes (my girlfriend actually asked me to press pause at one point because she thought she might be having a heart attack) , this film goes into new territory in its scope, yet almost reminds one of the biblical story of the Golden Calf the Jews started worshipping and the debauchery that ensued, which triggered the Wrath of God. Exciting enough on a 20" tv, had I seen this in the theatre, they would have been taking both my gal and I out on stretchers. The characters have some depth as well, and of course, this is Vin Diesel's break-out role. He is a most unusual, yet certain movie star. Good riding to ya, Vin!!
