Certainly no soothing pastoral images in this film, but rather a juicy dark comedy ripe with the trappings and tribulations of modern suburban life. A disingenuous bored wife and her psychotic younger co-worker, a pot smoking husband world weary from his small town existence and dead end job and a ignominious best friend ready to jump at a moments notice to bed his best friend's wife all conspire to make this film a hilarious trip through the cheap aisles of the "Walmart like" store in small town America where most of it's inhabitants seem to work. This film has a sort of "Raising Arizona" feel to it and will appeal to fans of this Genre. Jennifer Anniston does an admirable job of shedding her Friends "good girl" image and is quite believable in the character she portrays in this film. John c'est Reilly is great in his role as the character "Phil Last" as is Tim Blake Nelson who appears in the film as "Bubba". You may remember him playing the character Delmar O'Donnell, one of the Soggy Bottom Boys in the film "O' Brother Where Art Thou." Honorable mentions also go out to the Hilarious Zooey Deschanel who will have you laughing in the Aisles. See this movie, it's definitely worth it. I rate this film 8 chili dogs.
