The Pianist

Of all movie I've seen on Jewish people hiding against the Nazis, The Pianist by Polanski, is the one that shook me the most. I even felt that it was me hiding. Excellent acting by Brody. Piano playing out of this world. I didn't have time to look at background or notice details. I was too busy... feeling and trying to live. It is hard to understand and overhwelming to witness man's inhumanity to man... and to think global dehumanizing treatment still continues on this dear planet of ours. Where is the evolution to intelligent and worthy behaviour and the learning from past historic experience? Amazing how one can survive with the littlest hope, living every minute in total fear. To be able to survive such unbelievable stressful situations every second of your existence all alone with hunger and cold is a miracle. The film deserves to win an Oscar at the Academy Awards.
