The walk is an incredible gem of a movie. A single minded pursuit to a dream that for most would have been a foregone impossibility. To me, that was the greatest part of the movie. How a little boy with a dream did a trip around the world and recruited many people to make it a reality. The fact that he was an especially talented person is obviously of value here as many would have perished in such a pursuit, but the lengths he had to go through to even get to attempt such a feat was probably the biggest feat of all.
As far as the movie goes it is impeccably acted by JGL who is showing a lot of versatility as an actor. Some may complain that his french accent wasn't on the dot but that's really a little scribble in the context of the film. JGL was charismatic, enchanting, passionate,... all of the attributes you'd expect someone attempting such a feat would have. Everyone else was equally impassioned by this project and it shows.
From a visual point of view, I would definitely recommend 3D IMAX on this one as you will get the most out of it. Its beautiful scenes atop the twin towers are worth it.
