Vanilla Sky

It's ironic to me that one 'critic' on this forum who claims to like Tom Cruise gave Vanilla Sky a '1', while yours truly, who has spent most of his adult life trying to find reasons to dislike this actor/producer, am forced to give this flick a 10... yes, a masterpiece. I've given this# to only 2 other films in this forum... 'The Others' (which Mr. Cruise produced) , and 'The Shining' (whose director, Kubrick, also directed Tom in 'Eyes Wide Shut). In fact, I can't seem to escape this artistic and brilliant, albeit tiny little man (that's about the only jab I can give him) and his utter and deserved dominance over the film industry. Simply, he makes great movies for those audience members who have BRAINS. Anyone who can't see that Vanilla Sky is a ground-breaking tour de force and a sure-fire Oscar contender is lacking (in Craig Kilborne's terms) 'attractive grey matter'. And on top of all this, this midgetly menace is dating my all-time favourite actress, and one that I have admired long before her sojourn into America... Penelope Cruz. Ah. It's painful, but Tom has yet again foiled me... I must give Vanilla Sky a 10...
