It is truly shocking how low some 'reviewers' have ranked this movie. Perhaps a whole swath of anti-depressant users and sociopaths were unable to empathize with the real humanity or feel the terror present from catalyst to resolution. The action is relentless and claustrophobic, the visuals breathtaking to the point of this writer's near evacuation of the theatre, and the acting flawless. Where 'Signs' gives us a biopic of one family caught up in an alien invasion, 'War' successfully includes the whole world along with the family's plight. Although the ending seems too abrupt, it is certainly plausible when you consider the arrogance and oversight of the otherworldly creatures. Best seen on the big screen, and certainly one of the finest of the summer.
