Let the record show that I absolutely adore Guy Ritchie. Snatch was incredible. Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels was superb. And I even liked Swept Away. But I did not think that RocknRolla was worth the price of admission. The pace was slow. The humor was off. The acting was even forced. And I felt that the ending was kind of rushed. The movie took its sweet time connecting all the dots, and then in the final 5 minutes, it connects too many of them, for a very unsatisfactory conclusion. The crowd left the theatre deflated, instead of elated as should have been the case. Did Madonna suck the creative life out of Ritchie? Let's hope not. But for now, this movie was just so, so, worth it only if you don't pay. 5/10.
