I was stuck between giving this movie a 6/10 or a 7/10. It's not a bad movie, and it's not that good of a movie. But since the emotions got to me in the theatre, I will bump up my rating to a 7! Greg Kinnear is excellent. And the chemistry between Kinnear and his on-screen son is very touching and heart-warming. As for Miley Cyrus, I don't know how to rate her performance. She definitely had some great moments in this movie. At times I was impressed. But she also seemed to miss a lot of moments too where her acting was still Disney-ish where a scene called for more "from the gut" acting. The story is touching, no doubt, even if at times a bit clumsy. But it touches your heart and soul, and I guess that alone should make it worth seeing.
