I've been waiting for this British gem for some time... populated with awesome English actors/stars... not total unknowns as some reviewers have suggested. Be that as it may, the movie is filled with great moments, moments that will make you laugh, cry and be proud you are part of a human race that CAN be so good and generous. Some very hard-nosed decisions by ' The Iron Lady ' and her Conservative Cronies, swayed a fledgling LGBT movement, light years ahead of its time, to mobilize and become involved. This film had all the greatness of some past British films such as Billy Elliot and The Full Monty. I have no idea who wrote this script, so loving and tender, delivered beautifully by the entire cast. Can anything prove more conclusively that radically different groups can come together to make all the difference in the world? As inspirational as it gets! Must say I am a big fan of Bill Nighy and the underrated Imelda Staunton.
