This light weight romantic comedy is the sort of feature British film goers adored during the twenties. What will surprise anyone is how adept Alfred Hitchcock is in an early comedic directing role more than ten years before he made his American directing debut with REBECCA in 1940 which won the Oscar as Best Film of that year. The film does show its age in the matter of tastes and morals.
