The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1

I figured I would give this film a chance, even though it commercially copies Harry Potter, and pathetically tries to disguise an extremely simplistic story with a complex and large-scale visual, yet I still had some sympathy. Sympathy that turned into empathy for those involved in this horrific first part. Its main issue was its length. Why is it so long? This isn't Harry Potter where there's so much detail, and characters involved in the plot that two films are needed to cover all the material, which it didn't. Breaking Dawn Part 1 is no Harry Potter. There's no need for this to surpass the two hour limit, especially when all that time is wasted by slow and agonizing disputes over a romance that just doesn't connect. Nothing is successful in this dreadful Twilight instalment, and it's all because of the extra half hour which was because of the slow and painful pace of a film trying to be an arty oscar picture. Once it gets to the pregnancy, I felt more in pain than Bella did. Now, am I excited for Part 2 which doesn't release until August 2012 after Avengers, Spider-Man, and Batman destroy the box-office, which by then nobody will even know what Breaking Dawn Part 1 even was one year ago, I don't think so. Just "thrusting" with awfulness.
