All this talk of freedom from barbarians who's kids were taken at age 7, abused, starved and must survive or die. Yet these village-state barbarians were offered a deal from a huge empire and talk about all this freedom they have? Enjoy your freedom now that you are dead bub, because your society isn't giving you any choices. Seemed like modern American hype. Anyway, it was full of errors and extortions, very disappointing.

This is why they were called the 'Dark Ages'. What were the errors and extortions?

These weren't called the Dark Ages, you are about 10,000 to 20,000 years off. The wrongs in the movie include there were thousands of Greeks fighting, the reason why only 300 Spartans were there was wrong, there were no monstrous freaks...

It actually happened. Athens and Sparta joined forces to defeat the advancing Persians, Athens took the sea, and Sparta took the land. There were only 300 Spartans who fought and they all died. Just thought you should know.

It is based on a fiction written by Steven Pressfield in 1998 (which was later adapted into a comic stip by Frank Miller) It has no bases in Greek mythology at all and both the writer and comic strip artist are American.

It is a true story, partially incorrect because there were also pelleponesians and athenians there, but at the last few days of battle there was only 300 spartans left which is why it is called 300, and it is based on the battle of thermopylae, a true battle!!!
