A Christmas Carol with Alastair Sim playing Ebeneezer Scrooge (Bah! Humbug!) filmed in glorious black and white in my opinion is the best of all the portrayals of this Christmas classic. The message it imparts is that one can redeem themselves and that you can teach an old dog new tricks. Everytime I see this great "noire" classic is better than the last. Although there have been other great versions of this timeless tale. This version is clearly the best.
