This 1923 drama by Charles Chaplin is noteworthy for his use of Edna Purviance, long a Chaplin staple. The silent film is hardly a gem relying on melodramatic effects. The one noteworthy addition to the film is the appearance of a very young Adolphe Menjou in a supporting role. The film seems long though it isn't even an hour and a half long.
