Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel

Click here to show this review. Funny? I went with my nephew to a matinee full of kids. They all sat there pretty quiet not laughing at anything. The kids laughed twice. Once at a fart joke and once when the TV was destroyed. Both of them lame and lacked integrity on the writer’s part. I mean, these kids can probably get their dad or brother to fart for them for free. Oh, I felt some other funny comments, but when the jokes are taglines from Restricted movies like Apocalypse Now they are obviously jokes built in for only the adults. It still leaves me wondering about putting references to Restricted movies into a movie rated G. Ditto on some of the music, like get the kids interested in the second line of Hot N Cold. So, seems it is your typical sequel, ho-hum attempt to grab your money with emphasis going into marketing and not quality production. A couple of bonus points given for the cute factor of the Chipettes.
