Highly over rated and hyped and long. The worst movie I've seen directed by Clint. If you want to see an American Hero movie go see Selma. If you want to see a war movie go to Imitation Game or even Fury. This one is typical formula picture with War story tied in with Love story so couples will go and they can sell more tickets to an inferior movie. And the home story / love story is what killed it. There was no chemistry to the couple. Bad acting. No story even. It was like watching paint dry. Oh no! He has high blood pressure. Oh no! Someone is using a noisy power tool! OH no! Look at that paint dry! And too many characters that do absolutely nothing to the plot. Yeah, Cousin Billy Joel Jim Bob, needs to be in it!! If they cut all that out and stuck with the War aspects, it would have been a Great movie.

You do realize that this movie is based on a book written by Chris Kyle, and that it is not a fictional war movie about a bunch of guys in a tank. That is why these people need to be in the movie, and that is why he talks about his home life. Maybe if you read a book every now and then you would understand these things.
I am well aware of what's a book and what's not a book. I am aware of what is fictional. That is why I listed the fictional one as my last suggestion and qualified it by " or even Fury". And unlike you I don't think every book should be made into a movie. Or that because it is a book, it makes it better. No actually, it is why they don't have to try make a great movie because they already have an audience willing to go, regardless if the movie is good or bad. In fact, the majority of times people reviewing movies and say they read the book, follow up by saying the movie was horrible.
