Mervyn LeRoy was a big name director in the 1940's and he scored big in this early 40's love story that will sweep you away. It is a beautiful film all done in the rarity of technicolour at the time, receiving an Oscar Nomination for Cinematography! Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon co-star and they would go on to co-star in seven other films together during their careers. Miss Garson is in top form winning in her third consecutive Oscar Nomination. It's a great story that stands up very well to this very day. Any discerning cinéaste will greatly enjoy it!
