LOVED, LOVED, LOVED BJD (must have watched dvd at least 20 times!! ) and have been eagerly awaiting the BJDEOR sequel... for years, really. Was not disappointed. Love experiencing singleton life in London again through Bridget... Silk Cuts and all!! Having read both novels several times, I must admit that the sequel does not live up to the book. Rebecca a lesbian?!?! Now come on!!! Who came up with that?!? That story line was incredibly lame! Hugh Grant was deliciously nasty as Daniel Clever once again, and I felt that bringing him in added some spice to the story even though other story lines from the book were left out. The chemisty between Hugh and Colin is wonderful... and that fight scene? You can feel that testosterone pumping from the screen with every mislaid punch and hair pull! Hilarious!! And then of course, there's Mr. Firth. Honestly, what warm blooded female can be disappointed when Colin Firth is on the big screen. Sigh!! Who ever said he wasn't aging beautifully must be mad!! The way he looks at Bridget (in both films) sends shivers up my spine. Every girls dream, really! Guess what dvd will be on my Christmas list for 2005?!?
