This movie left me confused. Not about the story but about how I felt about the movie. I didn't hate it... but I kinda regretted going to the theatre to watch it. Maybe a good rental movie... but just not worth paying for it (even 5$) It was very funny in the beginning... but the last 30 minutes just sucked. Loved Frances McDormand in it...

I notice from your other reviews that your preference in cinematic arts leans toward the 'B-movie shlock horror' genre. Is your ambivalence for this flick a result of flaws in the film, or rather because it is simply not to your taste? The Coen brothers have made a career out of making very dark, somewhat satirical pictures, with darkly humorous themes. Perhaps it is this style that doesn't appeal to you?
