Gabriel Pascal's version of Shaw's Caesar and Cleopatra has all the good intentions with a powerhouse cast of Vivien Leigh, Claude Raines, Stewart Granger and Flora Robson. However, I was not that pleased with the set decoration or production values, the movie coming at a difficult time as WWII was ending. The performances seem strangely bizarre in view of contemporary cinema of 2016. Some will surely ask if this film is a genre of 'comedy' or drama.
