    Catch Hell

Ryan Phillippe's star has most definitely faded from his Cruel Intentions days and I know what you did last summer series. Recently he did a season for damages as a Julian Assange like character which I thought went pretty well for him. Here he decides to pave his own way through a comeback as the roles are probably few and little since his glory days. Catch hell is a good first try at putting on the writer/director/producer/actor shoes. Undoubtedly limited by budget and somewhat inspired by his own falling star, Catch hell works on some level. It builds on a camaraderie between junior, one of the captors with Reagan (Phillippe), and what ultimately becomes romantic in nature. The entire experience becomes a catalyst for positive change for his character and ends on that positive note even going as far as reminiscing the time with junior. However, there was some intensity to the part of Reagan that I thought Ryan didn't bring to the table and as such, the movie, while entertaining, didn't have the full effect it meant to.
