Fahrenheit 9/11

The quality of this documentary can best be summed up in what happened in the theater at the end of the show. I started to clap and everyone else followed suit, some cheering even erupted. In my review of Bowling for Columbine I asked if Moore could ever top that, in response, yes he can, and he has. A brilliant and revealing documentary on the events leading to, during, and after the terrorist attacks on America on September 11, 2001. Mainly the documentary is aimed at George W. Bush Jr. And his administration and making sure that he does not get re-elected (which I hope does not happen) That much is very clear. But some people seem to be unclear of what makes a good documentary: research. People say that Moore's information is completely falsified and not to be believed, THIS COULD NOT BE MORE WRONG. Michael Moore is a dedicated filmmaker and researches every documentary he makes to and above regular standards. The only reason this documentary looks one-sided is because Moore himself is very left wing. All the information is word for word correct, but the manner it is presented is from the point of view of Michael Moore. And there is no problem with that. Not only is this documentary excellent from an information perspective it is also stunningly powerful, the images and sounds that we see and hear are so powerful that at points I had tears in my eyes. I am glad that Moore did not show any pieces of footage of the planes hitting the trade centres, but sitting in the dark theater with a dark screen and hearing nothing but the sounds of a plane flying into the tower and the second doing the same and the screams of terror really shook me. Do not miss this outstanding documentary, even if you do not agree with Moore's political views. It will open your eyes.
