The highest grossing movie of 2003? I really do not understand how that is possible. Finding Nemo is a beautiful peace of artwork, the CGI is perfect and the lighting is brilliant. What Finding Nemo really lacked is punch-lines. The script is great, the story is classic Disney and simple for the kids to follow, but is rarely funny. If this movie was so great for kids of all ages then why is there only brief bits of laughter. We can only laugh at Dory (who steals the show) so many times and the Mount Iwannahawkaloogie joke is funny but the rest of the movie our only entertainment is watching the plot develop and marvelling at how great it looks. Jokes and humour are especially important when the script is so simple to keep the older kids interested. Nemo disappoints and is not as good as either of it's Disney counterparts the Toy Story films or Monsters Inc.
