I would give it an 8.5 if it let me. It was engaging and funny. Margot Robbie was really good. I saw her in Wolf of Wall street and didn't care much for her despite what the critics said, but in this movie she was amazing! She really had me convinced on the character she played. Without giving away anything, there was a scene where she was crying and it really pulled at my heart strings, she was so convincing (actually there were two scenes) and I don't get emotional in movies very often, but she was really good and I actually felt like weeping. Will Smith, of course, was Will, very good actor and also very convincing. I liked the continuous plot twists and surprises. Gerald McRaney was great!! I hadn't seen him in so long and he certainly deserves praise for this role. Loved Simon and Simon when he played in that series. Now, I only gave it and 8 (. 5) because there were some slow scenes that could have been cut down because they seemed a little repetitive. I mean, we got it already, move on. However, definitely one to go see in the theatre if you like mystery. It certainly kept me guessing.
