Initially, I found this movie disappointing, and overly graphic. The language was unnecessarily crude. Too much arguing made certain scenes almost unintelligible. Given the difficulties of their friends, It was difficult to understand the protagonists' reason for wanting a child. The turning point in the film for me was the scene in the cabin -- poignant, with very convincing performances from the two male actors engaged in the argument. So many emotions came to the fore. Equally moving was the scene when the child's mother reveals for love for the biological father. During the earlier minutes of the film, I thought coming to the cinema was a big mistake. However, after the "cabin" scene, I completely changed my opinion, and was very glad I decided to stay until the conclusion. My husband agreed. This film is all about the responsibility of making the decision to bring a child into the world, and more people should be mindful of how weighty that responsibility is. Being impulsive, irresponsible, or unmindful of how a child, in later years, will adjust to the "unusual" circumstances of his/her birth could prove catastrophic.
