    G. I. Joe is in no way a good movie. The cast is uneven, the plot is preposterous, the CGI not always that good, the characters are one-dimensional, and the attempt at developing them through annoying flashbacks is laughable, but here I go, and claim G. I. Joe my first official guilty pleasure in years. Everything is over-the-top, the action sequences, there are many of them, too many at some points, the acting from some of the villains, and Stephen Sommers's directing, but its all done in a cartoonish fashion which seems to suit the G. I. Joes. It's a lot of fun, if you are willing to give in. Unlike Transformers 2 - even though it had supposedly humorous moments - G. I. Joe doesnt take itself too seriously and some of the actors are having a lot of fun. At times the characters and subplot settings for a second installment felt like Star Wars, especially the villains, but also some other various elements. There is an impressive ninja sword fight between Ray Parks - whom we never see the face or hear the voice - and Byung-hun Lee, the Korean actor from the amazing revenge flick A Bittersweet Life. Sienna Millers and Rachel Nichols's cleavages give pretty good performances and Channing Tatum is acting more intense than he should. One main problem the film has would be the amount of action throughout the film, by the time of the climatic finale - which last several minutes - the audience might feel worn out and not care about what should be extremely entertaining, if, prior to getting there, you let the Joes in. Lets not forget the cheesiness and the terrible dialgoue. I'm not ashamed to say I liked it, it reminded me of all those times I played with my action figures and created impossible action sequences, which feel kind of realistic now after seeing the film. This is in no way a recommendation.
