    Great Expectations

David Lean's Great Expectations is a very great film in B & W, perfect for the ambiance in which Mr. Lean is yet making these marvellous masterpieces of Dickens and other works. Great Expectations captures the vitality of the novel right down to every character and situation. Martita Hunt is pretty daunting as the once young lady left at the altar and Jean Simmons is a junior Jezebel in her treatment of Pip. A MUST SEE EARLY LEAN FILM! RAVISHING!
