I might not like Mel Gibson, even despise him for his bigotry, but it can't be denied that he has made another masterpiece since Braveheart! However, I don't think Hollywood is soon going to forgive him for his many transgressions and honour him with any awards. However, the film is stark brutal, as nasty as it gets in the midst of serious difficulties of war and it is all portrayed in fierce fashion! To say this true history is amazing would be a gross understatement. Lucky Andrew Garfield who got such a plumb role that many young actors wanted. Strange how I don't find Garfield much to my appeal as an actor. It's a personal opinion!
