If my review was based solely on Hiddleston's performance, I would give it a 10 hands down. His performance is brilliant and I have even more respect and admiration for him as an actor, so incredibly talented! As evidenced from my age bracket, Hank Williams and his music are well before my time so I knew next to nothing about him. The film is often heart-breaking to watch, the emotions are raw and you can feel the heaviness that Williams must have experienced. For anyone like me who is a Hiddleston fan from his more mainstream movies, definitely give this film a chance! Although it is slow-moving, it is well worth the watch.
