In the Heart of the Sea

A swimming adaptation of "Moby Dick," this film was really impressive. Benjamin Walker and Chris Hemsworth were excellent, as was the entire crew.

It's not an adaptation of Moby Dick. It's the other way around. The story of The Essex inspired Melville to write Moby Dick.

The two are very interestingly related. My apologies if I was not clear. The historiography of the Essex is, in itself, written relative to Melville's original novel. The adaptation is including the circumstances that inspired it, and additional material, as it states in the credits.
