Insidious

I was a bit skeptical at first walking into this PG-13 movie, not knowing what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised by the outcome. All I can say is that it delivered some great scares, and had me looking the other way as I sat there anticipating the next jolt. Keep in mind that this film starts off a little slow, showing flashes of haunting occurrences, but then it really takes off after the first twenty minutes and grabs your attention. The story is fresh, the plot riveting and well paced. I also found the visuals and sound quality amazing. There was great direction too with this production. The acting I thought was pretty good as well. No cheap scare tactics or gore with this movie, just the simplest method of using genuine scares."Insidious" reminded me of a modern day Poltergeist, only better. Guaranteed to make you jump out of your skin. Please don't miss it.
