This is a MUST-SEE for Marvel fans. I read early reviews before seeing this and went in with low expectations but optimistic. I must say that I was shocked that some of the reviews for this film were mediocre. Please keep in mind I have always been a comic enthusiast and a true fan of comic-to-film movies. I've also been eagerly awaiting the grande finale Avengers film. I'd say for the average person with no background knowledge on the characters or Marvel Universe you're appreciation for the film I would expect to be less than someone like myself. I personally was just as satisfied at the end of this film as I was in IR1, in fact slightly more. If you're preparing yourself to be fully emersed in a film like Avatar then clearly you'll be disappointed. I found the film to have a more than exceptional cast, a great script and the dialogue was very well written. I took my mother for mother's day (not a comic enthusiast like me) and she appreciated the great laughs, the excellent effects and story line. She had a even larger appreciation for it once I pointed out the hints leading into the upcoming Thor and Captain America films. I personally had no complaints about the film at all. I heard many reviewers saying the first 20 min of the film were a let down because that's how long you had to wait to see any serious action. Well if all you're going for is to see non-stop action for 2 hours straight then I'd say don't go. The story unravels where the last film ended and unravels at a perfect pace. I saw in ETX and AMC and am looking forward to round 2 in IMAX next!
