As a young boy I loved Dinosaurs. I used to spend hours drawing them and reading about them. I was quite the expert actually and fancied myself something of a Tim (Joseph Mazello) So you can imagine my utter joy when the original film came out. I even remember waiting hours after school for the sequel in 97 with the same anticipatory glee. Now this 4th film Jurassic World is not as good as either of the two helmed by Spielberg (I mean... cmon) Yet it still manages to provide enough thrills and cleverly targeted nostalgia to reinvigorate the franchise after what was a lacklustre third entry. In fact, if you can look past the inherent stupidity of, well, everything, then I don't see how you won't enjoy yourself. It's a big, dumb, summer movie in the purest sense, with a cool new Dinosaur, likeable leads and an ending that pays the appropriate level of respect to the original star of Jurassic Park. And I'm not talking about Sam Neil.
