I read the book Life Of Pi, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Watching the trailers for the film, I was expecting a masterpiece. Seeing the film itself was still wonderful, and I really liked the movie. Sure, there were a few things that people like me who read the book would have been disappointed in, but not much. A few complaints: the actor playing Pi didn't put as much emotion into some scenes that were emotional to the character in the book, and the touching scenes didn't last long enough for you to really get choked up and cry. As well, I found there wasn't much of a question as to whether the events on the boat actually happened like it asks at the end of the book. Otherwise, I laughed and felt my heart soar as I viewed this flick, and it is still well-done, nonetheless. I would recommend it to anyone who has read the book, and not all people because some parts are difficult to understand unless you have read the novel. I would discourage most people who mainly like action movies as well not to see it, because there is a lot of stand-still, that an impatient person would not like. Enjoy the film!
