I had wanted to see "Life of Pi" in its original 3D format, but unfortunately the cinema where I saw it wasn't showing it in 3D. However, in whichever format you choose to see this magnificent film in you won't be disappointed because "Life of Pi" is movie making at its best. I could see where in some scenes 3D could be wonderful, but it wasn't essential to the plot. There is something to be said about movies that have characters from India as the protagonists. There is a very calming philosophy behind this story. Well acted as well as visually stunning, Ang Lee the director gets it right on many levels. You will be amazed and will be talking about this superb film long after it is over.
