    Little Big Man

Little Big Man tells the engaging story of a white boy captured by the Cheyenne, Sioux during the mid 1800's. Little Big Man as he was called was the lone survivor of General George Armstrong Custer's famous last stand at the Little Big Horn. The story largely told as a recollection by the 121 year old Little Big Man is told in flashbacks. Dustin Hoffman's portrayal of the LBM is played largely for laughs. With an all star cast and an Academy Award nominated Chief Dan George as Old Lodgeskins, gives the Indians a humanity never seen too much in previous films in this genre. No matter how many times you [see] this film it always has something to offer. Arthur Penn delivers the goods as a very entertaining western with a lot of heart.
